ABOUT US
We are located in Tulsa near Bixby, a Tulsa suburb, Oklahoma. In the 2000 census, the population of Bixby was 13,336, and by the 2010 census, the population had grown to 20,884. That's a 56.6% increase. In 2010, it was the 19th largest city in the state. The city has a very diverse culture and is home to a number of arts and culture organizations.
In 1832, Washington Irving visited Bixby, Oklahoma, as part of a U.S. Army exploration party. He met the Osage and Pawnee tribes and wrote about his experience in "A Tour on the Prairies." He also mentions the picturesque campsites he set up near the Arkansas River, which has since been named Washington Irving Park and Arboretum. As the city has continued to grow, it has incorporated much of its heritage and culture into its community.
The city was named after the Bixby Indians. Its population is very diverse, with 28.8% of people under 18 years old, 7.9% of those aged 18 to 24, and 21.7% of those ages 45 to 64. The median age of residents is 34, and the population is primarily male. In 1941, the historic town received the nickname "The Garden Spot of Oklahoma" for the growing production of vegetables. Today, the city exports products all over the U.S.
Method Group was founded with the idea we could reimagine what an Architecture firm looks like. With a focus on collaborative coordination and an emphasis on the value of human capital - we're here for a better, kinder, more equitable approach.
As part of our digital-first focus, we utilize technology such as Matterport photo and laser-scanning to get accurate records of existing buildings and create a virtual way to access buildings and sites throughout a project. We also rely on cloud-based software and remote-capable hardware for all of our core functions. This allows us to be flexible and our team to work efficiently in a remote way - keeping us connected to projects, clients, and each other. Ultimately, this means a high level of responsiveness and engagement from our team.
We believe in the importance and significance of community and being part of something bigger than yourself. We have a passion for historic revitalization, community consciousness and involvement, responsible design, and incremental development. We recognize the huge impact that places and spaces have on people. We strive to create places where people belong.
