Lewis Mixed-Use
Method was approached by a developer to provide a site analysis for an existing lot to be reimagined as a mixed-use development. The concept was to maximize the usable building space on the lot while still providing on-site parking.
The plan included ample ground floor frontage on the main street-side, and additional frontage off the parking lot. Because of its location on an arterial street, it was important to orient and position the buildings along the street to take advantage of pedestrian access and visibility. The 2nd and 3rd floors provided opportunity for either additional office space or residential units.
The conceptual design of the buildings tied in with the historic architectural aesthetic of the district with brick exterior, prominent storefronts and stylized awnings.
