As part of our tech-forward approach, we use Matterport scanning to document existing conditions on our projects. We recently upgraded to a Matterport Pro3 – allowing us to get faster and more accurate scans. We use these scans not only as photo documentation, but we also use the point-cloud data to accurately 3D-model the existing building in Revit. This is a base service we include as part of our design process for existing buildings.

Being able to revisit the space virtually during design saves time and resources and ensures we have the information we need when we need it.

In addition to providing laser scanning as part of our design services, we are also able to take point-in-time scans during construction for reference on what’s inside the walls, or after a project is complete for as-built documentation.
