This historic apartment building has lived several lives with different uses over the years. The developers wanted to preserve the building and adapt it to the current needs of the community.

The initial concept was to create a retail incubator and co-working option for local small businesses and entrepreneurs. The design needed to provide a neutral backdrop for tenant branding while also having a modern feel. Although this project did not pursue Historic Tax Credits, the client wanted the unique historic elements of the building, such as the skylights and tin ceiling tiles, to remain - adding character to the space.

We had the existing building laser scanned so we could accurately document all of the existing conditions and historic features.
